After a breakout season, ‘The Good Place’ will return for a sophomore season this fall but when will we next be transported to the good place?
There is no denying that NBC’s The Good Place was one of the most-talked about freshman comedies of the 2016-17 season. It was smart. It was witty. And it managed to deliver one of the most unexpected twists of the season – a twist that we’ll avoid discussing in detail to avoid spoiling it for any fan still working on catching up before Season 2 drops this fall. So when exactly will that be?
In hopes of giving the show its best chance at kicking off Season 2 with a bang and drawing in more viewers, NBC has decided to give The Good Place the post America’s Got Talent finale time slot. That’s right, Season 2 will kick off on Wednesday, September 20 at 10/9c with a special 1-hour season premiere before it settles into its regularly scheduled time slot on Thursday, September 28 at 8:30/7:30c.
The move to give The Good Place the post-AGT finale spot is one that is sure to help introduce the series to millions of potential new viewers – which is always a good thing for a young series.
Don’t miss The Good Place‘s 1-hour Season 2 premiere on Wednesday, September 20 at 10/9c directly after the America’s Got Talent season finale and be sure to catch its time slot premiere on Thursday, September 28 at 8:30/7:30c on NBC!
